About Me

I have a Bachelor of Social Work Degree with Honours from the University of NSW and a Masters of Science (Marriage and Family Therapy) Degree from the University of Maryland, USA. I have a Certificate in Structural and Strategic Family Therapy from Relationships Australia. I also trained as a Mediator through the Community Justice Centre.
I have completed the Circle of Security Parenting Training and am a Registered Parent Educator.
I am an accredited Mental Health Social Worker registered with Medicare, Australia to provide focused psychological services.
Throughout my career, I have kept up to date with evidence-based psychological strategies to continue to enhance my professional expertise. I have attended conferences and workshops to develop my skills in a wide range of mental health issues.
Professionally, I have worked as a Child, Adolescent and Family Therapist for more than 20 years and have extensive experience in a wide range of mild, moderate and severe mental health issues including: Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Eating Disorders, Parent-Child Relationship difficulties and Grief and Loss. I have a special interest and expertise in death of a child and its impact on the family.
I am passionate about early intervention and prevention and promoting secure attachments between parents and their children in the early years. I believe in working with people in a way that increases their understanding, strengthens their relationships, builds confidence and resilience and supports healthy growth and development
